Welcome to the Thomson Valley Bush Riders Inc.

We are a family orientated trail horse club, with current members ranging in age from 8 to over 65yrs. There is no age limit on joining, however children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. 

The club was formed in 1993, and was first known as the Thomson Valley Mountain Racing club. The first bush race was held in 1994.  

We hold several trail rides of varying distance and difficulty every year, and our main event is the annual SIDS & Kids Packhorse ride.

The Packhorse ride follows the original coach route from Toongabbie to Walhalla, and is conducted on the second weekend in October. All proceeds from the ride are donated to SIDS & Kids. Riders have come from all over the Southern states, and upwards of 80 thousand dollars have been raised for this very worthwhile organisation. 



We are a small club, trying to do a big job, and we would like to invite more people to join with the committee in helping to organise our annual packhorse ride. You don't have to take on a committee position, but any assistance you can offer us will be gratefully accepted. We would also love to hear from anyone who has a suggestion on other rides we can do during the year. Please contact the secretary via the link on the membership page for information on our meetings. A special mention should be made at this point to the Propietors of the Cricket Club Hotel, Cowwarr, who so generously allow us to hold our meetings at their historic venue.
